A New Sale!

jackie_photo2 News! News, news, news!

I’m extremely thrilled to announce that my YA novel, TO BEAR AN IRON KEY, has sold to the incredible Georgia McBride at Month9Books!

**throws confetti**

KEY is a traditional fantasy novel about Bromwyn, a young and powerful witch who is trapped by her grandmother’s curse, her mother’s love and a promise to marry the wrong boy. (What that description doesn’t tell you is there’s also a thief, the Fey, and a challenge during Midsummer.)

Nope, no Riders – this one’s completely different. :)

I’m so happy this book found a terrific home! TO BEAR AN IRON KEY is slated for publication in spring 2014.

And check out this terrific video called “Meet Month9Books” — it introduces the viewers to a terrific variety of tween and teen speculative fiction novels.

Celebrate with me! Who else has terrific news to share?

About Jackie

Jackie Kessler used to run around in Wonder Woman Underoos and watch Challenge of the Super Friends. Now she watches superhero cartoons with her kids. Jackie’s superpower is stamina: she survived pitching 1,000 beloved comic books after a battle with a flooded basement. (Comic books, contrary to popular belief, are not waterproof.) When not writing about superheroes and the villains who beat the heroes into a bloody mess, she likes to write about demons.

Let’s see… on January 25th my novella, Ghoultown, released. My short story, The Red Barn, is still selling steadily, and I just signed a contract for my full length novel, Over the River. Oh, and I bought my very first house, all by myself, on January 18th. Lots to celebrate!

  2. Thanks, October! And congratulations on all your successes — the short story, the novella, the novel contract (WAHOO!!!) and the house!

  3. Congratulations, Jackie! That’s outstanding.
