Yesterday, HarlequinTeen revealed the cover for the fourth/final Soul Screamers omnibus, Volume 4. I was on a fieldtrip with my daughter, so I missed the reveal, but as luck would have it, today’s my day to post here, so I get to reveal the cover (above) on the Deadline Dames site! As you can see below, the three previous omnibus covers have each focused on a single color, but for this final one, HQTeen wanted to bring the entire series together with the style from the previous omnibus covers and the colors from the novels in their original (US), individual editions.
[above, Omnibus volumes 1-3, including the first 6 novels and 3 novellas]
[above, all seven novels & 3 of the novellas, in their original, individual editions, in series reading order]
Aren’t they pretty? I couldn’t resist showing them all off together, one last time!
“So,” you might be thinking. “What does Volume 4 have to offer me, if I’ve already read the entire series?”
“Good question,” I might answer, if I’d heard your thought.
If you read the list of included titles on the front of the Volume 4 cover, you’ll notice that it includes two novellas and one short story. “Fearless” is novella I wrote years ago, which appeared in the KISS ME DEADLY anthology. It is being republished in Volume 4, with a brand new, never-before-seen ending.
“Niederwald,” originally appeared in the ENTHRALLED anthology, and is being republished here, as an official part of the Soul Screamers collection.
“Last Request” is a brand new novella, written specifically for this omnibus. It is told from two different points of view, alternating between Tod and (for the first time ever!) Nash. The story takes place during WITH ALL MY SOUL, between the last two chapters, the last of which is really more of a epilogue. So if you want to know what Tod, Nash, and the rest of the gang were up to before that emotional last chapter, here’s your chance!
Volume 4 comes out March 25, 2014 (my dad’s birthday!) and is available for pre-order at B&N, Amazon, Books-A-Million, The Book Depository (for international buyers), and just about anywhere else books are sold.
So…what do you think of the new (and last!) Soul Screamers cover?
