So, what do you think of the new look?
We dames got together and decided the old look was kinda like that old coat we all have in the back of our wardrobe–warm, as comfortable as hell, but getting rather out of date. It was, we decided, time to make the site all shiny again.
The designer we chose to do that was Ilona Andrews–yes, that Ilona Andrews. The one who writes those fantastic books. Seems she is a very talented lady indeed!We gave her some very vague ideas about what we were looking for, then threw her in the deep end and said go for it. This is what she came up with, and we love it.
Of course, it’s still a work in progress, so over the next week or so there may be a few minor changes, but overall, this is it. What do you all think? Let us know. There’s a prize involved–anyone who comments will go in the draw to win a signed copy of Beneath a Rising Moon–my upcoming re-release, which, like this website, has been made all shiny again. The winner will be drawn in a week and notified by email.

I like the way it’s looking. It’s bright and clear. As I get older (50 in a couple weeks) it gets harder to see stuff on many sites because they’re so dark. I really like how clean the new look is. Thanks.

I prefer bright over dark. Much easier to read. Just an FYI since it’s a work in progress but the sidebar pictures aren’t loading..for me at least.
I really love the new look! Clean, bright, very easy to read and navigate. I love the sharp new header image as well. I love Ilona’s books, and I love her site designs as well, and this is another winner.
Gorgeous color. Immediately draws you in. We use the same text color on our site. Love how it makes the posts and photos really pop out.
I, too, like the new color scheme. I’m also having the same issue with the side bar pictures. None of them are loading for me. IE8, in case that makes a difference.

Glad you all are liking the new look! We love it. This is currently under construction, so there is more coming to the front page and the sidebar images may wink in and out.
Ooh nice! Don’t think I recall this one! I’ve seen some of Keri’s older books–read the Nikki and Michael series too! But sounds awesome!

I am on a netbook running Windows 7 and I am using Firefox, not IE Explorer, if that makes any difference…..
The general feel is good. Lots of broken links and missing images.
The nav bar at the top is nice. Not sure about the way the background is broken up with the solid darker blue, then the patterned blue then the solid white in a large chunk at the bottom. Almost looks like a mistake on the tiling of the patterned background part. Keep working on it and i am sure you will get it fixed. Organizing folders for websites can be tedious at best.

It’s simple and yet nicely detailed. The heading catches my eye right away, especially the circle graphic. I like it!
I like the circle graphic too. I tend to prefer the more straightforward designs, so this works for me. Love the color.

I think it’s great. Bright, colorful and appealing. I am a reader based on how the cover appeals to me. I would definately buy this book because the cover had drawn me in. I have been wanting to read this book for awhile now but kept waiting for the re-release. I am so excited.

Overall, I think it’s a good look. When the page loaded, at first I was like, “What site did I go to?” before I realized it was a new look. I’m not sure about the two columns next to each other with nothing but white space separating them, though, but that’s about it.
