Since it’s a big contest week for the multi-releasing Dames, I thought of a fun one.
I finally got back the master DVDs for the episode of my TV show, So Many Books, which features Sarah Wendell of Smart Bitches who Love Trashy Books. We discussed the book that she and her partner, Candy Tan, wrote, entitled Beyond Heaving Bosoms, the Smart Bitches’ Guide to Romance Novels.
True to form, Sarah was so hilarious that I had some editing challenges, mainly because the cameramen, who normally wear headsets and listen to the director’s instructions, all had one ear uncovered so they could listen to Sarah and, as a result, missed a few of their cues!
Those of you who know Sarah may be surprised to learn I never had to “bleep” her, mainly because I decided it was okay for her to say “man-titty” on public access television (I did draw the line at “c*ntmonkey”).
In honor of the Smart Bitches (and because I got so many free books at the RWA national convention), I have a POLITICALLY INCORRECT contest today. 
It’s the “Best Man-Titty Contest.” Enter a comment describing which of these books you think has the best and most gratuitous display of bulging pectorals, and you will win all three signed titles. 
They are Gentlemen Behaving Badly by Michelle Marcos, The Way You Love Me by Francis Ray and Dark Temptations by Allison Chase (which is the one Sarah points out during the episode).

Oh hands down, the best is Dark Temptation. While the others are nice, that one screams sex and, with the background, a fair bit of mystery and danger. Add in the necklace that draws your eyes to the lovely man titties (and lower) and you have yourself a true winner. I’d take him home with me in a heartbeat…
Okay, first, I take exception to the “gratuitious” display of bulging pectorals. I mean, really, can we ever have ENOUGH bulging pectorals?
Also, it’s cruel to just pick one. They are each spectacular in their own way. Depends on the mood. Today, I don’t need brawn as much as I need the appearance of sensitivity so I’ll pick Dark Temptation.

Gosh, I dunno about man-titties, but those abs on The Way You Love Me are frightening hahaha.

Okay the best and MOST gratuitous has to be The Way I Love You, that man is just standing there with no shirt. The other two still have their shirts on, sort of. This guy is just letting it out!
There’s more bulging happening on the cover of The Way You Love Me by Francis Ray than on the other two. That shiny roundness… and nothing else on the background to distract from those pecs. That definitely earns it the prize of most gratuitous.
However, because I’m fond of a little subtlety (little might be the keyword in this case), I’m more drawn to the open shirt on the cover of Dark Temptation.
Do we have to choose just one? They are all great but I like Dark Temptation the best!.

But I gotta go with “The Way You Love Me”, that title; with that chest…it makes me snicker. Yes, I love you without your shirt. Does that mean that I love you less when you’re clothed?
Okay, obviously Mr. man-tities is on the cover of The Way You Love Me, but hands down the hottest display of man chest would have to be Dark Temptation. I’m tempted!
OK so I’m going with “The Way You Love Me” that guy totally has huge man boobs. LOL The light is giving him really good man cleavage.

Gee, I don’ know – I like my men with a little chest hair! But, if these are my choices, I’m going with ‘Gentlemen Behaving Badly’. The guy on ‘The way you love me’ is just TOO out there (pun FULLY intended ) and there’s something about ‘Dark Temptation’ that screams “man-child” to me and smacks just a bit of pedophilia (don’t ask me why – that’s just my first impression).
“The Way You Love Me” wins hands down. Last time I saw man-titty like that was on a Terminator in 1980.
Love them all. But;”The Way You Love Me” is my favorite. Makes you drool. LOL.

I think I have to agree with everyone about The Way You Love Me being most gratuitous but I’d personally prefer to gawk at Mr. Dark Temptation’s man-titties. ;D

I think Gentlemen Behaving Badly is in between and (today, because I’m always changing my mind about man because of my moods)suits me more, but I have to admit that I try to analyse just the tits, but it’s impossible! With that abs you can easily wash your clothes!

Most gratuitous is the showcasing fellow on “The Way You Love Me”. Pure inexplicable man-titty beefcake.
Which do I prefer? For skin tone, muscular balance and for having his arms trapped in his shirt by the eager lady ripping it off him, I choose “Gentlemen Behaving Badly”.
Any excuse to get their shirts off is a good excuse.
On a personal level, I think it would be nice to have one of these fellows standing before a mirror, so we might enjoy the topless reflection and the snugly clad rear view. I also think it would be interesting to have a man or two with some body hair, and maybe a scar or two. Rough them up, artists!

Even though it is partially hidden, I have to say Dark Temptation. Maybe it is because of the necklace accent, I love a man who can wear a necklace.

Okay, I’d have to say most gratuitous man-titty has to be The Way You Love Me. They’re shiny, tanned & popping – it’s almost 3-D, I had trouble looking away. Dark Temptation makes me wanna watch Johnny in Pirates & the man-titty in Gentleman Behaving Badly seems a little shy, like he just needs a little encouragement to really get those babies poppin’ (which he seems to be getting from his lady friend), all in all a brilliant start to my morning. Toni, I’m now holding you completely responsible for having to add another 3 books to my reading my list – damn you to man-titty heaven for all eternity!

The Way You Love Me’s man-titties is to big, Dark Temptation’s too small, Gentlemen Behaving Badly though is just right. And they all got great abs!

Clearly Alison Chase’s cover model has the best moobs. You know what they say: bigger than a handful is a waste. The cover model for The Way You Love Me could wear my bra, and I’m a double d. He already has better abs than me; better chesticles would just be adding insult to injury. No thanks.
At this point, better boobs are all I have going for me.
I’d say The Way You Love Me has the “Needs more than a training bra” award. Dark Temptation is much more the type of man-titty I prefer personally.
Gentlemen Behaving Badly gets my vote but it is hard to pick one.
I think “Gentlemen Behaving Badly” has the best “man-titty,” hands-down. The other two look like they are oiled up, which makes me wonder what these guys are doing walking around greased up like that. Despite the MFA in Fiction I’m a big fan of realism
OK, if we’re literally talking gratuitous, then it has to The Way You Love Me. They look like twin pillows. Put that guy in a tight cami and he’d have a heaving bosom himself.
Personal preference would be the gentleman on Dark Temptation. His pecs are flatter and look more natural.

There’s no such thing as too many rippling abs, not in my opinion anyway. And I think my fave is The Way You Love Me. Those are some finely chiseled muscles!
